The Man with the Golden Arm

Is he famous because his blood produces a rare antibody which fights the otherwise fatal Rhesus disease in unborn children?

Or maybe because he holds the Guinness World Record for blood donations: more than 1170 times?

Or is it because it's estimated that his donations have saved the lives of well over 2 million babies?

James Harrison lived in Australia and donated his blood until age 77, when he was forced to retire. However, his blood has been used to develop a medicine known as Anti-D, which may banish Rhesus disease.
